My Style Report

I just have to give my 2 cents on the Golden Globes, as if my opinion matters.  lol

I love, I mean really love, award shows.  The little girl who played with "Fashion Plates" as a kid (remember those?), has never stopped loving fashion.

I have to say, this year, I wasn't wowed by a whole lot of gowns.   Most celebs looked pretty, but few really stood out.  Here are some of my favorites:

Jessica Alba

The ladies of The Help, Viola Davis

and Octavia Spencer

Pretty and age appropriate, Ariel Winter

Claire Dannes (although I did love this more from behind than front)

Charlize Theron

Emma Stone (at first I thought maybe a tad too old looking for her, but it's soooo gorgeous nonetheless)

So there you have it, my 2 cents worth.   I can't wait to hear what they'll have to say on the Fashion Police tonight.  They can be vicious, for sure, but I like to watch it anyway.

Ciao friends....

  2. I thought everyone looked pretty nice but a few weren't so good. I love love love Meryl Streep but gosh she looks frumpy! Still I love her.

  3. I like most of them...I just can't get into the ones that are slit in the front to the naval. I don't know- they just don't do it for me. The other ones are fun and some are elegant. I agree with Linda- I don't know why they don't do a better job of dressing Meryl Streep. xo Diana

  5. Really fun pics. I saw this on Entertainment Tonight just a little bit ago. I loved the red dress Stacy Keibler had on and even though I don't care for Angelina Jolie I did love her red and white dress. I also thought she looked extremely thin. (Unfortunately that's never been said about me!) Were you off school today?

  6. You and my sister-in-law would have a blast together. That's all she spoke about on Sunday...she couldn't wait for the awards show. I didn't get a chance to watch it. I'll read all about it in my People magazine. Lol

  7. I love awards so too and always, always watch the Oscars. I loved Charlise her gown was the best, the worst was Meryl Streep and second to her was the one who wore the blue tie dyed gown.Yuck!

  8. I hate to sound like the Grinch, but I don't like award shows. I like fashion though and and always look at the pictures online of all of the celebs in their finery. I watch Fashion Police sometimes with my daughter but I fuss at them through the whole show. I know I get on my daughters nerves lol. It irritates me that they think anybody with curves is fat grrr.

  13. Charlize was gorgeous in that dress! I know she took some heat for it but I love it! I agree that Emma Stone was dressed out of her age group. I mean they should play with the age factor as long as possible.
    Great report!

  14. I didn't watch but they were showing them the following morning on Good Day L.A. I agree that Jessica Alba looked amazing (and she just had her 2nd baby!!!) but I think Angeline Jolie is always a stunner.

I don't know how to find you on Pinterest and I didn't see a Pinterest follow button on your blog but I'll look again!
