Pumpkins, Gourds & Leaves Tablescape

As so the calendar has turned over to October...

October is such a busy month for me.  

Lots of birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

I pretty much eat a whole lot of cake in October.  

My pants are not going to like it one bit!

I put together a simple fall tablescape.

I have to admit, I haven't tablescaped in quite some time,

so I'm a little rusty.

Everything here I've had for quite a few years.

I'm not sure I can even remember from where everything came.

Let's see....

The wicker place mats are from Pier 1

Silverware--??

Dinner plates, napkins & pumpkin cookie jar are all Better Homes & Gardens (Walmart)

The salad plates came from a pottery store in the Cleveland, OH area.

We were on vacation there;  I'll never remember the name of that store!

Something makes me think those little amber colors candle holders also

came from that same store.

The amber Park Lane glasses are from a local antique store.

I no sooner start enjoying my Fall decor

and what do I just realize?

It's October & time to start thinking

about decorating for Halloween!!

Fall 2017 Dining Room & Sitting Room

Hello!

I'm back with more of my Fall decor today.  

It looks like it's going to be a beautiful 

sunshiny week for us.  

As much as I prefer the cooler fall temperatures, 

I'm going to try to enjoy this last bit of warm Summer weather, 

knowing all too well, 

it'll be gone until next June at least.

I won't chat too much, just pictures...

at Home Goods when I found that blue

pumpkin pillow.  I couldn't love it more!

2017 Fall Mantel & Living Room

Hello friends!

I have been bitten by the Fall bug as I'm sure so many of you can relate.

I've pretty much decorated all over the house, I just haven't gotten to the outside yet.

I thought I'd start off sharing the mantel & living room with you today.

I guess it's not a secret that I haven't followed the trend 

and gone completely neutral for Fall.

I can't help it. 

 I love the colors of Fall too much!

All the pumpkins shown, the white & the orange,

are from Big Lots. 

I bought them figuring to keep either the white ones or the orange ones,

not both, however, I think we know how that turned out!   

I bought this ladder in the Summertime from

Decor Steals and I love it!

 

The photo above is the view of the room when you

come in the doorway.

I went with a simple coffee table vignette this year.

Summer Decorating Feature

Back Again

I've decided to give this blogging thing another round.  I didn't realize I've been at it for 11 years now!  Believe me, I really thought about giving it all up, but here I am.  

Once I made the decision to start blogging again, I thought it might be time for something new, so

I did a very smart thing....

I contacted Linda @ My Fairy Blog Mother to turn this place around!

Didn't she do an outstanding job?  I'm so pleased with this new look.  

Linda is seriously like Superwoman.  She's very knowledgeable and very patient.  I have to say that because I may or may not have driven her a little crazy.  Half the time, I wasn't sure what I wanted, the other half, she had to explain to me what all the options were!  lol   Honestly, I have no technical knowledge at all.  

I need to also add that I'm in New York, Linda is in California, yet she always seemed to answer me right away despite the 3 hour time difference.  Maybe she never sleeps?

So my point is, if you are thinking of a new blog design, contact Linda.  You won't be disappointed.

Since Fall is around the corner, I thought I would re-share one of my tablescapes.

The warm colors of Fall are always a welcome sight this time of year.

 It's turning a vibrant red now.

Valentine's Day Vignette

I've been meaning to share my Valentine's Day hutch with you for a few weeks now,

but you know how that goes...sometimes blogging takes a back seat.

So, with only a day to go, here goes:

I put this together with stuff I hand on hand.

I will forever love that little cupid boy.

I've had him for quite a few years now. 

I'm happy seeing the pops of red here.  There's just so much white

outside my window right now, any color is a welcome change.
