Pumpkins, Gourds & Leaves Tablescape

As so the calendar has turned over to October...

October is such a busy month for me.
Lots of birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
I pretty much eat a whole lot of cake in October.
My pants are not going to like it one bit!

I put together a simple fall tablescape.
I have to admit, I haven't tablescaped in quite some time,
so I'm a little rusty.

Everything here I've had for quite a few years.
I'm not sure I can even remember from where everything came.

Let's see....

The wicker place mats are from Pier 1

Silverware--??

Dinner plates, napkins & pumpkin cookie jar are all Better Homes & Gardens (Walmart)

The salad plates came from a pottery store in the Cleveland, OH area.
We were on vacation there;  I'll never remember the name of that store!
Something makes me think those little amber colors candle holders also
came from that same store.

The amber Park Lane glasses are from a local antique store.

I no sooner start enjoying my Fall decor
and what do I just realize?
It's October & time to start thinking
about decorating for Halloween!!

Are you getting ready for Halloween?

Lovely Sunflowers

Since Fall is around the corner, I thought I would re-share one of my tablescapes.

The warm colors of Fall are always a welcome sight this time of year.

*Sigh*

You may recall seeing some of these items
from my other tablescapes.
Nothing is new here.

Wicker placemats from Pier 1.
Bronze chargers from Michaels.
Orange Dinner plates from Walmart, Better Homes & Gardens collection.
Sunflower plates from Christmas Tree Shop.
Napkins from Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Flatware...a mystery.  For the life of me, I can't remember!
Park Lane wine glasses from local antique shop.
Amber bubble goblets were borrowed from my sister
(I believe she got them at Tuesday Morning)
Burlap runner from Home Goods.
Black enamel splatterware coffee pot from local antique shop.

.

The tree looking out the dining room window
had not changed when I took these photos several weeks ago.
It's turning a vibrant red now.

Thank you for visiting me today.
Happy Fall!

Just an fyi:  I'm having computer
issues, which I'm hoping are resolved soon.
I could scream... it's all very frustrating.

Snow Day Tablescape

I thought I'd share a tablescape with you today.

Welcome to the Snow Day...

I started with a snowflake tablecloth from Kohls.

The snowman salad plates are from QVC.
They are by Rachael Ray
and just perfect for this time of year.

I added my everyday white Corelle dinner plates
and some white chargers.
The chargers are from the Oneida Ltd. outlet.
(I miss that store.)

My gingham flatware is from Spiegel, many moons ago.
(Do you remember Spiegel?  I used to devour that catalog
and want to buy everything in it!)

I bought the snowman napkin rings on Ebay a few years back.

A couple of snowmen friends
from my large collection were added as a centerpiece,
followed by my mercury glass votive candle holders.

And that is that...sweet & simple!

Stay warm dear friends!

Golden Sunflowers Tablescape

Ahh yes, tablescaping...my long lost friend.
I have missed you.

I had a few extra minutes and thought aloud,
"I need a pretty tablescape!"
(which I do realize may seem sad to some who just don't get it.  lol)

So here goes:

The warm colors of Fall are always a welcome sight this time of year.

Spring Flowers Tablescape

Hello all my dear sweet friends!

I was away from blogging much longer than I intended.
Since Easter, it's been one thing after another
and unfortunately, not all has been good.

May's calendar is chock full...I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
I won't bore you with all the details,
so let's get a little Spring tablescape going instead......

I haven't tablescaped in some time, so
this one is simple & sweet.

We are finally seeing signs of Spring!
Don't get me wrong, it's been chilly and rainy,
but at least the daffodils have bloomed!
(the tulips are holding out on me though)

I love this tablecloth from Kohls.  When I started this tablescape,
I drove myself nuts playing with dishes of all the colors in the tablecloth.
Finally, I managed to narrow it down by removing the majority of them.

Pink cabbage plate & bowl:  Bordallo Pinheiro (Tuesday Morning)
White chargers:  Oneida Outlet
Place mats:  Home Goods
Green flatware:  Home Goods
Napkins:  Bed, Bath & Beyond
Goblets:  Dollar Store

I used a small basket filled with assorted flowers for the centerpiece,
a couple of small crystal candlestick holders,
and that's pretty much it!

See?
I told you it was simple & sweet!

I really look forward to getting around & visiting all of you soon.
I've missed you all so much!

Be Mine Tablescape

It's hard to believe it's February already.
January did go by rather quickly.
Not that I'm complaining.
We're one step closer to Spring!

I desperately needed to put together a Valentine's Day tablescape.
I was surprised to find that I hadn't shared a tablescape since last Fall!

So please join me for "Be Mine."

You can see the "whiteness" of January through the window in the photo below.

As much as I may be sick of the "whiteness," it does make
a nice backdrop to the pink & red of my tablescape.  Ha!

The heart plates & the table runner are from Target.
I bought them on clearance a year or two ago.
The plates are melamine.
The dotted glasses are a Target purchase, as well.

I added a white charger from the Oneida Outlet.
They just announced the Oneida Outlet will be closing
in 90 days.  I'm going to miss that place!

Red silverware was an engagement gift 20+ years ago.
Place card holders are a Christmas Tree Shop find.
Pink votive holders are from Michaels.

I love how the plates & table runner match.

Pretty pink tulips in a red pitcher for a simple centerpiece.
I ♥ tulips!

It's so nice of you to visit today.
Hope to see you again soon.

 Happy Valentine's Day!

Fall Apples tablescape

You know, I love apples.

Tart, sweet, crisp apples...especially in the Fall.
I never feel that an apple tastes as good at any other time
as it does in the fall.

When Kathleen of Cuisine Kathleen issued her challenge
this month for the Let's Dish party, it was all about apples.
I was happy to join in.

This was a tablescape that came together effortlessly.

I started with a plaid tablecloth from Home Goods.

Then I layered my often-used wicker placemats from Pier 1.
Green dinner plates are Better Homes & Gardens from Walmart.
Gold dishes are from the Oneida Outlet.
Red apple plates are from Christmas Tree Shop.
Green flatware is Cambridge from Home Goods.
Gold napkins from Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Green felt napkin rings from Crate & Barrel.
Green bubble goblets from Target.

The centerpiece couldn't be easier.  A potted Kalanchoe gave
me the color I wanted.  I had every intention of popping it
in a pot of some sort, but I liked the brown paper
that the pot was wrapped in, and decided to leave it as is.

I added a couple of small pillar candles,

and I had to add that burlap cutie, too!

I have to say, that I really love these colors together.
Really.  Love.

Happy Fall, friends!

Anchors Away tablescape

I don't know that I ever told you before, but I love all things nautical. I always have.

I remember having an "oh so cute" sailor suit.  Now I know you're thinking I must have been a little girl when I owned that sailor suit,  but no...it was the 80s and I was in high school.  :)

I've always been drawn towards anything nautical.  I like to joke and say it's because my father was a sailor.  He was in the US Navy.  Dad always knew of my love for all things nautical, so whenever he would chance upon a piece  treasure from his days in the Navy, he would give it to me.  I have his old uniform, his lighter, a framed photo of his ship, his medals and his ribbon pins.

Anyway, I digress....

Welcome to my nautical table:

I can still remember spotting these salad plates in Home Goods.  It was love at first nautical sight!

Navy Blue Dinner Plates:  by Country Living, Kmart

Navy Blue Flatware:  by Cambridge, Home Goods
Napkins:  Bed, Bath & Beyond

I gathered some nautical and coastal goodies for my centerpiece.

Ship:  Michaels
Sailor Boy:  Christmas Tree Shop
Assorted shells from the beach in Florida (Thanks Aunt Gen & Uncle Tim)

Tablerunner:  Country Living, Kmart
Candle holders:  Michaels

Thank you for taking a look at my tablescape.  As always, I appreciate your visit!

Dots, Checks & Roses Tablescape

Before I begin, can I just complain about the weather for a second?
I believe we had 19 days of rain in June.  Here we are,
July 1st and what's it doing?
Raining!
I feel like I live in a jungle or a rainforest.
Everything is ridiculously green, but goodness, it's depressing.
I think it's time to buy a boat, or an ark, or something.

Ugh!  ENOUGH!
Thank you for allowing me to vent.  Now on to the post....

-----------

I don't believe I've shared a tablescape with you for 3 months now.

That's pretty sad, so I'm going to remedy that right now.

This is one of my favorite sets of dishes.
I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love them.
They are from 222 Fifth.

These dishes have everything I love...dots, checks, roses...pretty colors
and a vintage feel.

White charger:  Oneida Factory Outlet
Gingham flatware:  Spiegel
Dot napkins:  Joann Fabrics
Dot tumblers:  Target

The dinner plate.

Insert big and dreamy **sigh.**

You can find the recipe for my strawberry hand pies, right here.

As always, thanks for visiting me today!
