The First Day of School & a Huge Thank You

Today was the first day of school for my kids.

Olivia started high school today.  She's at soccer practice now, but I can't wait to get a recap of her day.  I'm hoping that since I didn't get any calls or texts of distress, it wasn't that bad.   I hope anyway.

Johnny is in his last year of elementary school.  His teacher is from Scotland and talks with the cutest Scottish accent.

I hope both kids are blessed with a wonderful school year!

Now for the huge thank you..........

I would like to thank everyone for leaving such sweet & kind comments about my reupholstered chair.  You all certainly know how to make girl's day!

I would also like to thank those of you who have featured it on your blogs this week:

I am sincerely honored!  Thank you so very much!

  3. They are both adorable! I hope she enjoys soccer. My gdaughter has elected "golf" this year. Just mentioned her & her brother in a post. He's into athletics. Keeping fingers & toes crossed that he makes it through with no injuries.

    Again, LOVE the chair!

I missed your chair ...it's gorgeous!!! You did an awesome job, and I love the fabric and paint finish combo!

I have a blog question... how do you respond to your comments, and how do you direct those comments to the commenters' emails. I somehow activated the "reply" button at the bottom of each comment, but when I replied, it appears on my comment page, and I don't know it the commenter is getting the response. I'm so computer illiterate! ha! Help! :)

  16. Girl I love love love your home. So serene and welcoming looking and that pool. Wow. How long did it take you to get everything we did see in your home to your satisfaction? Please tell me your house isn't always that perfect. I'd be embarrassed if anybody came to see mine right now.Oh yeah. I clean it up and as soon as I start a craft project of any kind, well, better left unseen. You have a beautiful home and kids, enjoy.
